Overview:
The Purple Tang is one of the most sought-after tangs in the saltwater aquarium trade, admired for its vibrant violet body and striking yellow tail. Native to the Red Sea, this species requires a spacious, mature aquarium with strong flow and plenty of open swimming room. Though generally reef-safe, it may become territorial toward other tangs or similarly shaped fish. Its striking appearance and confident personality make it a centerpiece in many advanced reef systems.
