Coral Beauty Angelfish
Species: Centropyge bispinosa
Origin: Central & South Pacific, Western Pacific, Indian Ocean
Family: Pomacanthidae
Overview:
The Coral Beauty Angelfish, also known as the Twospined or Dusky Angelfish, is a vibrant and hardy dwarf angelfish that adds bold coloration to any saltwater aquarium. Its deep royal blue body is accented by flashes of orange to yellow, creating a dramatic and eye-catching appearance. This species adapts well to captivity and is a popular choice for both beginner and intermediate hobbyists.
While relatively peaceful, the Coral Beauty may display aggression toward other dwarf angels or similar-shaped fish. It is best housed in aquariums of 70 gallons or more with ample rockwork for grazing and hiding. Though considered “reef safe with caution,” it may nip at soft and stony corals or clam mantles in reef environments.
