The Reef Octopus Classic 1000-HOB is a powerful, space-saving protein skimmer designed for marine aquariums up to 130 gallons. With its hang-on-back design, this skimmer is perfect for systems without sumps or limited cabinet space. Its externally mounted Aquatrance 1000s pinwheel pump reduces heat transfer to the aquarium while maximizing performance.
Built from high-quality acrylic, the Classic 1000-HOB features quiet operation, a surface skimmer intake, and easy maintenance with a removable pump. Whether you're running a reef or fish-only setup, this skimmer provides efficient waste removal and reliable performance in a compact footprint.

Warranty applies to the original purchaser and begins on the purchase date. It covers manufacturing defects under normal use. Damage from misuse, unauthorized repairs, or modifications is not covered. CoralVue must be notified within 10 days of a defect, and will handle repairs or replacements at their discretion. Incidental or consequential damages are not covered.
We totally understand that plans change! You can modify or cancel your order as long as it hasn’t been shipped yet. Just call or email us right away - our team will confirm if we can catch it before it leaves our facility.
If your order is already in transit, you’ll need to request a return once it arrives. Keep in mind that some items, like aquariums and livestock, can’t be returned.
